Socceroos playmaker Tom Rogic has extended his contract with Celtic, signing on until 2019.
Rogic was in the final season of his contract, but both parties moved swiftly to keep the Aussie in Scotland, and were able to agree to the three-year extension.
The 23-year-old blossomed last season after an injury-ravaged beginning to his Celtic career, and has now firmly cemented himself as a regular first team contributor.
Following the announcement of the new deal, Rogic spoke of his happiness to the club's website.
“I’m happy here and happy to commit my future to the club that I’m proud of, and I’m just really excited for the future," Rogic said.
“The manager’s had a very positive impact on the club so far and I’m sure we will continue to build on that.
“It’s a great time to be at the club, and for me to have my future sorted and know that I’m going to be working with the manager for the coming seasons is great."
Since joining the club in 2013, Rogic has scored 10 goals in 57 appearances for the Scottish giants.
